Shillong, Sept 26: The Meghalaya Editors and Publishers Association (MEPA) express its deep gratitude to Bah George B Lyngdoh bad Bah HM Shangpliang for raising the discussion in the State Assembly, on the problems faced by the local media houses in Meghalaya.
MEPA which is a parent body of all print and other media houses, have time and again met the state Government officials, including Ministers of the Government of Meghalaya, but our grievances were not heard by the Government of the Day.
MEPA wants to place on record, the meeting we had with Mr Conrad Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya in the month of May 2018 and many issues were taken up and we hope that the Chief Minister will speed up accordingly.
MEPA appeals to the state Government to help our media houses, so that we can help in return to the thousand of employees who are direct or indirectly employed. Said Mr RM Shabong Presdient MEPA in the press statement.
