Shillong May 1 2: Everything in life whether good or bad, becomes better with Music, and this has been proven time and time again. The Department of Music,Martin Luther Christian University also did their part today by performing in cafes across the city to serenade the patrons of these places.
This is the students of the department took the stage in Café Shillong and Mellow Mood Café in Laitumkhrah and in the Evening Club in Police Bazaar to showcase their talent and enthral the audience with their renditions of different genres of music. The University to hold a music road show in Ward’s Lake to entertain and prepare their music students for a different kind of stage.
As people were enjoying the start of the weekend with their friends, coffee, and great food they also were mesmerised by the performance of the students who performed English, Khasi, Pnar and even a Malayalam songs accompanied by western and traditional instruments.
The main objective of these events is to provide a platform for students to showcase their musical skills and talents, going a long way for the student-performers to learn experientially.
