Shillong, April 05: A Monitoring Committee has been constituted in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for monitoring and redressal of issues and grievances relating to racial discrimination faced by the North East people residing in different parts of the country.
The Members of the Committee are Sh. Satyendra Garg, JS (NE) as Chairman, while Dr. Alana Golmei, Secretary, Northeast Support Centre, New Delhi and Dr. Mizum Nyodu, Asstt. Professor, Law Faculty, Delhi University, Delhi as Members.
The general public is hereby informed that any person or group of persons or communities hailing from North East who claim to be victims or have faced any act of racial abuse, racial atrocities, racial violence and racial discrimination in any part of the country, may send their complaints, suggestions, grievances at the e-mail address: ne.complaints@mha.gov.in. This was informed by the Deputy Secretary (NE-II), Ministry of Home Affairs (NE Division), Government of India.
