Shillong, March 24: Mr Aditya Prasad,Petitioner for the 16 trapped miners at Ksan visited the victims’ families today afternoon and had interaction with them along with the Deputy Commissioner and other officials waited for them in nearby areas.
Smt jostina Dkhar who reported unwell was attended by the Doctor incharge of Sutnga Community Health Centre and medicated accordingly. After the petitioner left the area DC also had discussion with the relatives and noted their concern.
The preparation of platforms in shaft no. 8 ang 9 is almost completed. Also the work for making the platforms in shaft no. 10 and 11 has began.
As usual dewatering is carried out by the CIL and today pumping water is 35hrs from both their pumps since yesterday evening till today 5 pm @ 17 hrs for one pump and 18 hrs for the other one and the discharged is 4725000 litres.
The Kirloskar also pumped 16hrs from one pump only from yesterday evening till today 5pm and the discharged is 1440000 litres. The KSB pumped out water for 32 hrs from both pumps since yesterday evening till today 5 pm @ 16hrs from each pump and the discharged is 6336000 litres.
The NDRF and the SDRF as usual provide assistance to other agencies with all available resources.
