Shillong, January 15: The Independent MLA from Gambegre Constituency Mr Saleng A Sangma today submit his resignation letter as MLA to the Commissioner Secretary of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Mr Andrew Saimon.
After putting down his resignation letter Mr Saleng said that he has to resign as MLA because he will take over as the president of the Nationalist Congress Party in Meghalaya state. On his colleague Mr John Leslee K Sangma he said he need not to resign as he is not going to hold any post in the party.
