Shillong, Dec 24: The 6th Meghalaya Tennis Tournament concluded on 22nd December 2018 at a ceremony in the Shillong Club Tennis Courts.Dr.M.Ampareen Lyngdoh, MLA was the Chief Guest and Ms Matsiewdor War Nongbri, Deputy Commissioner was the Guest of Honour.
The Directors of the Shillong Club were also present. Mens Singles Title was lifted by Sanjeev Chettri by defeating Stardiness Kharsyntiew 4-6,6-1,7-6. Mens Doubles was won by Sanjeev Chettri and Vishal Amarnani by defeating Stardiness Kharsyntiew and Pankaj Kapoor 6-4, 6-3.
In the Under 16 Mens Singles category, Damepyndap Kasoo defeated Alfredo Nongrum by 6-4, 7-6.In the Under 12 category, Master Rakshit Bajaj won by defeating Master Soham Agarwal 10-3. In the Ladies Singles category, Nisha Singh won by defeating Jwallita Johnson 10-8.
The Meghalaya Tennis Association also expressed its thanks to Max Cement, the major sponsor, and also to Star Cement, the other sponsor, for their contribution towards the successful holding of the Tournament.
