Shillong, Sept 25: The regional unit of Association for Democracy and Empowerment, Bajengdoba was formed in the presence of Mr. Dalseng Bira Ch. Momin, President, Apex Committee, ADE and other delegates from the Apex Committee of ADE on 22nd September, 2018.
A public meeting was called for the purpose of creating a fully functional body of the same to tackle the various issues of the people of the Bajengdoba and its surrounding region. It was a long standing vacuum which need to be fulfilled to represent this particular region in the greater arena.
ADE is solemnly dedicated to fight for the genuine issues of the people of Meghalaya from its inception and will continue to pursue its course. ADE strongly feels that the delegation from Bajengdoba area has immense potential to collaborate with other regions and address its problems.
The meeting was a huge success and people from Bajengdoba and surrounding villages gathered enthusiastically for the formation of the ADE Regional Unit. They supported and acknowledged the Democratic way of the formation of the Regional Unit. Senior citizens alongside other dignitaries blessed the newly formed unit through their valuable suggestions.
Mr. Sujit Sylbester Marak and Mr. Robust Sangma were unanimously chosen for the post of President and General Secretary of the body respectively. Other office bearers were also chosen through proper guidelines of the Association.
The newly elelcted office bearer of the organization after the president are Shri, Hamseng Momin Vice President, Shri, Robust. Sangma General Secretary, Shri, Walmin Sangma Joint Secretary, Shri, Namseng Sangma Chief Organizing Secretary and Shri, Cherak Momin Publicity Secretary aprt from them there are seventeen sexcutive members were elected. Mr. Pimash Sangma was the chief adviser.
