Shillong, May 25: Mrs. Alvarinea Nongsiej, an Adult Leader, participated in the 2nd World Education Congress held at Kanderstag, Switzerland. Some of the topics discussed in the above meet include Youth involvement Policy, Adults in scouting, Vision 2023, Diversity and inclusion, Change management, Children’s rights, Values and young people, Education trends, Youth and digital – the change of information flow, peace and Human rights etc.
Being the only representative from India, she visited Zurich, Kanderstag and Geneva in Switzerland, Paris in France and Milan in Italy. She also gained a lot of exposure especially on an international platform as this. In her words, “On a personal note, I urge my fellow Scouts & Guides in the State as well as in the National level to encourage their friends and family to be part of this wonderful Movement and help build a better world”.
