MSSASA demand State Govt to consider the aggrieved D.El.Ed Trainees as Trained Teachers

Shillong, March 06: After the deadlines given to the Chairman of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) Noida Uttar Pradesh which ended on February 16 and there is no response from the NIOS,  the Meghalaya SSA School Association (MSSASA) Central Body strongly demand the State Government to consider the aggrieved D.El.Ed Trainees both 4385 of batch 2013  and 3437 of  batch 2014 as trained teachers comprising 75% of them are the SSA School teachers of Lower Primary and Upper Primary.

“We have urged the Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma at the representation submitted to him on January 31, to consider all the 7822 aggrieved teachers (trainees) as trained teachers i.e 4385 whose marksheets and certificate still withheld due to anomalies created by NIOS on the result declared on September 9 last year that also after a delayed of 9 months and the 3437 teachers (trainees) of batch 2014 whose 1st year result is not declare till date because of delay for declaring the results and obtaining the certificate as trained teachers is not the matters and faults of the aggrieved teachers (trainees) but it the faults of the NIOS then why those 7822 inservice teachers have to suffer on the mistakes created and done by NIOS” MSSASA Central Body General Secretary H.M.Marbaniang said.

Further, as per MHRD  Project Approval Board (PAB) minutes of 2016-17  for State Meghalaya held on April 22 last year chaired by S.C.Khuntia Secretary Department of  SE&L MHRD Govt of India, which the State Government clearly mentioned that the 4385 of batch 2013 had received their training certificate in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) course from NIOS. So under the above mentioned facts and circumstances we strongly demand the State Government for considering all the aggrieved 7822 inservice teachers as Trained Teachers , especially those SSA teachers who also the aggrieved trainees can enjoy the benefits of the revised pay as notified by the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan State Education Mission Authority Meghalaya (SSA-SEMAM) Shillong.

Moreover, It now more than one year the aggrieved D.El.Ed Trainees waiting for the NIOS and the State Government to rectify the faults on Diploma in Elementary Education Result and to solve the problems but there is no response neither from the NIOS nor from the State Govt and if State Government fail to fulfill our demand it will forced the association along the 7822 aggrieved teachers to write to MHRD Govt of India to close down the NIOS in Meghalaya and to take legal action against the State Government and the NIOS because it against the future of the teachers and since they had already completed all the criteria of the course (D.El.Ed) then the State Government and NIOS have no right to play with their future. Said Mr H M Marbaniang General Secretary Meghalaya SSA School Association in the press statement today.
