Shillong, Nov 20: The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology Meghalaya in collaboration with the Department of English Language Education, The English and Foreign Languages University, Shillong Campus, and Spectrum.
An International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences, 2319-6076, organized the Annual Conference on Inter disciplinarity COIN-2021. This year the Two-Day Online National Conference on Literature, Language, and Culture of North East India was held on the 19th and 20th of November.
The keynote addresses were delivered by Prof. T.K.Bamon, Vice Chancellor, Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong, and Prof.JyotirmoyProdhani, Head of the Department of English,NEHU, who delved on the language-culture connection and North East Literature in the 21st century respectively.
Special talks were also delivered by Dr.KhelsorilWanbe, Ms.BijoyaSawian, Dr.Ksh. PremchandraSingh and Mr. KhomdramGuneshwor. Two commencement talks were also delivered by Dr. P. S. Mangang and Dr. Rosy Yumnam.
It may be mentioned that this online conference saw the participation of paper presenters and listenersfrom all over the countrywhich reflects the academic interest in Northeast literature, language and culture.
