Shillong, March 11: The North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong held a meeting of all deans, heads, officers and staff on the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID19), on 9th March, 2020 in the VC Conference Room.
The meeting chaired by the Registrar discussed on the advisory received from the UGC for Universities and Colleges regarding the virus.
Presentations were made by Dr. B. G. Momin, SMO In-charge, NEHU Health centre and Prof. S R Joshi, Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, NEHU on the dos and don’ts regarding the virus. The presentations were also uploaded on the University website www.nehu.ac.in
Appeals were also made to avoid travelling to foreign countries and inviting guests from abroad for programmes etc.
