Shillong, November 06: NEIGRIHMS, Shillong observed Vigilance Awareness Week with the theme “My Vision- Corruption Free India.” from 30th October to 4th November 2017. Awareness Programmes, Essay writing competition, Poster display and skit plays were organized by the organizers during the week. Prof. P. Bhattacharrya, Vigilance Officer of NEIGRIHMS delivered awareness lectures to Nursing College students, MBBS students, Nursing staff, employees and visitors in the hospital on 30th and 31st of October consecutively.
Integrity pledge taking was also organized for many days consecutively to ensure that maximum people participate in the Integrity Pledge taking. Skit play and Poster display competition was organized in the OPD foyer of the hospital. Certificates and Prizes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners were distributed by Director, Dean and Deputy Director of NEIGRIHMS on 3rd of November.
Nursing students bagged all the prizes. Speaking on the occasion, Director NEIGRIHMS Prof. (Dr.) D. M Thappa, said that every citizen should be vigilant about corrupt practices in the society and bring any incidence of corruption in the notice of authorities designated for the purpose, so that India is made corruption free.
