Shillong, August 01: Today Morning an encounter insurgency operation was conducted at Gare Ringdi village in South Garo Hills District by the police of East Garo Hills District. The operation is conducted base on the information that the police received that militant were presence in the area.
The militant group is suspected to be from the GNLA, led by Mr Nit and Adram, during the operation encounter take place between the police and the militant, from the palace of incident one unidentified death body was recovered and one pistol.
The police also recovered note book of GNLA demand note, receipt book, six mobiles phone, galantine stick, and two more terrorist were injured during the encounter. This is another huge setback for the GNLA and Sohan D Shira the self style commander In Chief of the militant outfit.
