People of SGH District tell their MP Mr Conrad they needs proper Banking

Tura, September 12: The  MP from Tura Mr Conrad Sangma organised Disha Meeting to Review the status and implementation of projects under central schemes. He started this round of Review meetings at South Garo Hills. He took special interest in the implementation of projects under MGNREGA and PMGSY.

Policy such as Pradhan Mantri Ujjawal Yojana on Distribution of LPG connections, National Rural Drinking Water Program and Digital India internet access to the people were also discussed where the MP felt that there is a potentially for the better implementation of the central govt. policies after studying their mandates.

Mr Conrad also commended the BDO for completing 68 man days in Chokpot as well as starting a self help group which saving Rs. 50 each day managed to save a corpus of Rs. 1 lakh, which was been used to buy to Power Tillers in Chairingmagre.

The Hon’able MP shared his views that specialisation in plantations and Value addition through food processing can be the next set of convergence NREGS can look into. He also held a Public meeting where he heard the grievances of the people.

 

It was shared that the banking sector has considerable infrastructure that needs to be developed and certain PMAY-G beneficiaries still have to recieve the grants for the year 2012-13.
