Shillong, August 21: The coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic is the defining global health crisis of this time and it is the greatest challenge we are facing today. Since it emergence, BSF was also not left untouched by the virus.
However, with the spirit of serving the Nation and humanity, BSF undertook a drive to motivate its personnel recovered from COVID-19 disease to donate their plasma.
Giving practical shape to the campaign 02 recovered BSF personnel namely Constable P.P Saikia and Constable MD Rasidul Karim of 97 Bn, Frontier Headquarter BSF Meghalaya curerently temporary duty at Assam has donated their convalescent plasma on 20th Aug 2020 in GMC Hospital Guwahati, Assam.
This was informed Mr. UK Nayal DIG/PRO Ftr HQ BSF Meghalaya. He also said that, our more than 200 personnel are ready and will donate plasma as and when we receive any call from NEIGRIHMS or State Health Department.
