Shillong, June 20: The Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills District said that in spite of the advisory that was made by the police through the media not to use modified exhaust pipe in the two wheelers or cars but many people do not adhere to the announcement made by the police.
The noncompliance from the owners the police has been compelled to conduct checking and if anyone is found they will be book under section 102 of the Meghalaya police Act, with a fine of Rs.5000/-.
The checking was started on 18th June 2018 and on this first day the police have detected 24 numbers of violators. The Police said that this checking will not be only on two wheelers but also on vehicles.
