Shillong, September 29: Last night based on information from reliable sources about the presence of some GNLA cadres in Dosogre village under Baghmara Police station , South Garo Hills police and SF10 Commandos immediately rushed to the village and conducted raids and arrested one hardcore senior GNLA cadre Mr Bande Ch. Marak also know as Border of Telikali village.
He joined GNLA in the year 2012 and claimed he that is of 4th batch but did not complete the training. He was with Sohan in the last two years. He was present during the last two encounter with police in SGH and he managed to escape during an encounter in Rongsu two months ago. He was unable to contact other members and was therefore still taking shelter in the village.
No arms was however recovered from him. He has also confessed that he was also present along with Sohan in ambush on police personnel few years ago where several policemen had been killed in both at Kolapara and Panda ambush.
