Shillong, April 07: The police of West Garo Hills District, under Hallydayganj Police Station of 48-Salsella Assembly Constituency while doing Naka checking near Hallydayganj today at about 10:45 Am they have seized Rs. 4,80,000/- lakh from Mr Saha and Rs.1.60,000/- lakh from Mr F Seikh.
The police after seizing the money was sent to Tura Police Satiation and kept in safe custody of Tura Treasury Strong Room. The total amount of money seized by the police today that falls under 48-Salsella (ST) Assembly Constituency.
The police is checking randomly all plying vehicles to see that during the MP election and bye election to the 48-Salsella ST Assembly Constituency people should not carry money with them in cash more than T.50000/-.
