Private vehicles use by Government official on duty is exempted from the 50% order: Prestone

Shillong, June 03: Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Mr Prestone Tynsong inform that the Government today has taken a decision that all State Government and Central Government vehicles, private vehicles use by Government official on duty   are exempted from  50% of the notification issued by the Transport Department in this few days.

The others category of vehicles that were exempted a parts from the Government vehicles, private vehicles  including  vehicles use by the PWD, PHE, SMB, Presss both print and electronic media, MeECL, Medical Team, Vehicles carrying essential  commodities and  Fire service the Transport department has issued notification on this new arrangement.

Deputy Chief Minister also inform that the Labour Department today has issued notification that all thus private Companies and Contractors who required highly skill  labours they should engaged local people in the first preference, if local are not available they should inform the department and the Government will sent for training at the government expenses.

With the decision of the central Government to allowed export, Meghalaya Government has also taken decision that export and import will be open from the state of Meghalaya from 08th June 2020 and the health department are working out the protocol.  Deputy Chief Minister make it clear that Border hat are not allowed.

The Government has also decided to allowed reopening of shopping complex with 50% in one day, but Barbar shop, beauty Parlour are not allowed. They will be allowed to open on rotational bases from 8th June 2020.
