Railway Protection Force of N.F Railway rescue minor boy and girls from traffickers

Maligaon, Feb 19: The Railway Protection force of Northeast Frontier Railway was successfully rescuing minor boys and girls from railway premises befor they fall prey to traffickers.

In one such incident, while Asst Sub Inspector Mr. A.K. Nath and Constable Mr. Nandu Saha of RPF of Guwahati were conducting regular checking in Guwahati Railway station areas.

At about 13.20 hrs they could notice one minor boy roaming on platform no. 1 near foot over bridge of Guwahati Railway Station in distressed condition. On further asking, the boy stated that he belongs to poor family and came to Guwahati by train for begging.

On further interrogation, he disclosed his name and address as Suraj Mura, M-07 yrs, S/o Late Dhunu Mura, resident  Duliajan near Railway Station, PO+PS-Duliajan, Dist- Dibrugarh, Assam. The rescued minor boy could not give any contact number of his relatives.

The rescued minor boy was later brought to RPF of Guwahati and provided with food, water and other essentials. After observing all formalities the rescued minor boy was later handed over to Railway Child Line of Guwahati through Dy. Station Manager of Commercial, Guwahati for his immediate safe custody and further necessary action.
