Shillong  Lajong beat Druma Sandruma by 10 – 1 in the semifinals of the MS League 2019

Shillong, Dec 14: Shillong Lajong youngsters beat Druma Sandruma by 10 – 1 in the first leg semifinals of the Meghalaya State League 2019 at the Kiang Nangbah Stadium in Jowai on Friday afternoon.

The first goal was scored by Phrangki Buam in the very first minute of the match via a header from a corner kick and he went on to score two more goals to complete a hattrick in the 84th and 89th minute respectively.  Druma pulled one back in the 23rd minute after the goal was scored by S Momin.

Mahesh Singh who was named the Man of the Match netted four incredible goals on Friday afternoon in Jowai. His first came in the 3rd minute, a curler from inside the box, his second, third and fourth goal came in the 26th minute, 66th minute and 70th minute respectively.

It was a dominating performance by the Reds who displayed some clinical attacking football in the first leg of the MSL semi-finals.

Parvaj Bhuiya also joined the party as he found the back of the net in the 72nd and 78th minute while Donboklang Lyngdoh who came in as a substitute also registered his name on the scoresheet in the 85th minute of the match.

The Reds won the game by 10-1. With an advantage of a huge victory, they will travel to Resubelpara to play the second leg of the semifinals against Druma Sandruma on 17th December.
