Shillong, Oct 13: The Shillong Lajong defeated Langsning FC with a stunning 5-2 margin in their last league stage match today at the SSA Stadium in Polo.
With this win, the Reds are at the top of the table at the end of the SPL 2018 Group stage with 26 points and have advanced to the semifinals of the tournament.
Samuel Kynshi scored the opening goal for Lajong in the 17th minute. Meanwhile, Bonison scored the second goal in the 27th minute after an assist by Sheen Sohktung and went on to score his second and Lajong’s third goal in the 55th minute.
Mahesh Singh also found his name on the scoresheet and scored two quick goals in the 71st & 72nd minute.
Langsning FC scored two goals in the 77th minute via Donborlang and Defence in the 90th minute.
