Shillong, Jan 11: The Shillong Lajong will play their first home game of 2019 against Indian Arrows on 13th January at the JN Stadium at 2PM. Both teams will feature an all Indian line up on Sunday and it assures to be a thrilling encounter between both sides.
Indian Arrows are coming into this fixture after losing their home match to East Bengal (1-2) in Bhubaneswar while Shillong Lajong were also not able to collect any point from their last game as they went down to Neroca FC by 3-2 in Imphal.The Reds will look to come back stronger and bounce back to winning ways this coming Sunday and in all their remaining matches of the I-League 2018/19 season.
Coach Alison Kharsyntiew said, “It is a very important game for us and we are doing everything we can to get that win. The second leg of the I-League has begun and now it’s the time for the boys to play a more attacking, dominating and possession football. Every game is crucial and the players know that very well. I believe they will go out there and play for a win.”
“They need to be more brave and daring, convert their chances into goals and defend more aggressively. We hope the fans will come out on Sunday and support their home team. We will fight back and play a much solid game I can assure”, he added. The tickets for the game will be available at SSA Counter Polo Ground on Sunday, 13th January and the match will kick off at 2PM in JN Stadium.
