Shillong, May 17: The superintendent of police incharge of traffic in form that an amount of Rs.13,31,730/- only was realized as fine by the Shillong Traffic Police during the month of April, 2018 as compared to Rs. 6,65,450/- only during the month of March, 2018 from the violators committing offences under provisions of the MV Act.
The fine from wrong parking were made from five hundred and nine vehicles parking, one hundred and seventy two were no Entry violators, five hundred fifty nine for driving without seatbelt, forty two were compounded for driving under the influence of alcohol and Non – FIR was taken up for four offenders for the same, two hundred seventy nine without driving License, nineteen for Permit violation, forty nine for driving without Helmet in addition to the other offences under the MV Act.
