State run BSNL has started its 4G services in the state Meghalaya since Monday

Shillong, April 10: State run BSNL has started its 4G services in Meghalaya on 8th April, 2019 at Umiam Telephone Exchange. The BSNL 4G services in Meghalaya SSA was inaugurated by Shri P L N Raju, Director, NESAC, Department of Space, Government of India in the presence of Shri. B Chandra Sekhar, ITS, Chief General Manager, BSNL, NE-1 Telecom Circle, Shillong.

The BSNL 4G services will offer higher data speed leading to a better user experience. It supports IP telephony services, Interactive Multimedia, Voice, Video conferencing and gaming services. To avail the BSNL 4G services, the existing BSNL customers have to get their existing SIMs swapped with 4G SIMs to all the BSNL Customer Service Centers. The 4G services will be launched in other parts of Meghalaya shortly.

Other dignitaries who were present while launching the 4G of the BSNL are  Smti. G G Shabong, CCA, Departrment of Telecom, Shri. M A Siddiqui, ITS, Principal General Manager, BSNL NE-1 Telecom Circle, Shillong, Smti. D Giri, ITS, Principal General Manager, BSNL NE-1 Telecom Circle, Shillong, Shri P G Nirmal, ITS, General Manager, BSNL, Meghalaya SSA Shillong and other senior officers of Department of Telecom and BSNL. The BSNL 4G services would be available in Umroi Cantt, NEPA, Umbir, ICAR and Nongsder.
