Stranded people should understand once they come in will not be easy to going back: Conrad

Shillong, May 04: Meghalaya Chief Minister Mr Conrad K Sangma inform that those stranded people should understand once they come will not be easy to go back this is a clear message from the Government to people who would like to come in.

Speaking to media after the review meeting Chief Minister said that they have discussed in the meeting, since there will be two phases in allowing people to come back into the state, one phase from people who are within the North Eastern State and the second phase in people who are outside the North East.

They should understand that once they come in it will be difficult to back; they should understand that this is not too and fro movement. From the Government urged thus people who try to come back to the state they should understand that it will be for medium or long time bases, if they desire to stay back in the place where they are they should stay back because the question of going back will not be there.

The Chief Minister inform that they have got a lot of request from numbers of students, who are working outside the north East have express that they would like to come back at their own expenditure. The government understand their difficulties but allowing one or two locations to come back outside the North East will not be fare because the same yardstick is to apply to everybody.

From the Government urged all the students, workers that they will soon allowing them for students and workers from outside the North east , but from the government would like to complete allowing first thus from North east after finishing with them then they will go for phase two.

People register till today is 2900 and out of these 1600 are in Assam the rest are in others state of North East, the registration is progress so it might be more Chief Minister Mr Cornad said today.
