Shillong, Risaw 20: The ADG NCC NER, Maj Gen Ananta Bhuyan, SM called on Shri Satya Pal Malik, Governor of Meghalaya at Raj Bhavan , Shillong. During his meeting, ADG apprised the Governor regarding the various assistance provided by the NCC cadets to the State Government machinery in the form of crowd control, awareness regarding COVID-19 and manning of data centres by the cadets, distribution of homemade masks by the cadets.
The ADG also apprised the Governor regarding the expansion of NCC in border areas of Meghalaya to facilitate students of far flung off areas to also get an opportunity to be a NCC cadet. The Hon’ble governor, who himself was a Senior Division NCC cadet, was quite appreciative of the NCC cadets and their contribution towards the society.
