Shillong, June 07: Major General Bipin Bakshi , VSM Additional Director General NCC NER met Mr Conrad Sangma , Chief Minister Meghalaya at his office today. Chief Minister was briefed on the NCC matters pertaining to State of Meghalaya and the requirement of NCC expansion plans in Garo Hills.
The chief minister expressed happiness with the work being done by NCC officials in the state and assured of state support for establishing NCC Academy and Shooting Range in Meghalaya and asked NCC to forward proposals for creating sporting culture in the state.
Keeping in mind the upcoming National Games to be organised in Meghalaya in 2022 and he expressed hopes for many more projects involving collaboration between state and NCC in future. He also agreed to convene the state advisory committee on NCC in the first week of July.
