The AGHSSATA demand that salary should be credited to their personal account

Shillong, July 06:  The All Garo Hills SSA LP and UP School teachers’ Association (AGHSSATA) together with the All Meghalaya SSA School Teachers Association (AMSSATA) submitted their memorandum to the State Project Director SSA, SEMAM government of Meghalaya asking the authority concern that their salary should be sanction and credited to the teacher personal account.

In the Memorandum the AMSSATA said that it is necessary to bring some changes in the present system of payment of salary to the SSA School teachers. At present monthly salary of all SSA School Teachers is being sanction by depositing the entire amount in the school joint account in the Bank. Instead of this practice the salary of each individual teacher should be sanction directly in the individual bank account. This will result in avoidance of many mal practice done by some of the school managing committee in the school they alleged.

The SSA School teachers are facing lot of problem  while withdrawing their salary from School joint Account some of the amount of the salary were deducted in the bank itself base on their respective SBI branch, it is not only being done from the salaries but from others school fund also, like TLM grant, maintenance grant, MDM grant etc as for the account keeping charge and others necessities, beside that the president and the secretary are jointly operating the school current account for withdrawing salaries, some of them are deducting teachers’ salaries in big amount as their carrying charge.

As a result teacher are face much difficulties during their submission of their Utilisation certificate in general to concern education authorities and also during the time of audit to submit accurate voucher   in particular  from the association request you to do the need full step for the welfare of the SSA School teachers.
