Shillong, November 16: Before the state goes to the general election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly on early 2018, the house will have the last session of this present house before the 12th of December 2017 and should not be beyond that to fulfill the constitutional mandate said the speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
Speaking to reporters in his chambers the speaker said that till today he has not received any indication from the government to hold Assembly session. To call for the session it depend on the government, once they office get the information from the state government then their duty is to hold the session.
