Shillong, July 09: Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) & Caretaker Officers (CTOs) are the teachers and professors from various schools and colleges who are the key functionaries of NCC in their respective educational institutions. They are keen and motivated to undertake the noble task of nurturing the youth in this premier youth organisation.
They play a vital role in conduct of effective NCC training at the grassroots level and symbolize the face of NCC in various educational institutes. In keeping with the role of ANOs & CTOs, it is imperative to conduct periodic training seminars for them so as to hone up their skills and also create awareness with regards to latest training policies/ techniques/ methodologies for improvement of the training curriculum.
To achieve this aim, an ANOs & CTOs training seminar is being conducted by NCC Group HQ Shillong along with State Education Deptt Meghalaya from 09-12 Jul 2019 at DGAR Records Conference Hall, Laitumkhrah. ANOs from all districts of Meghalaya will be attending this 04 day seminar.
On second day of the seminar ie. on 10 Jul 2019, a lecture cum presentation is planned to carryout an overview of Inception philosophy, vision & role of NCC along with its contribution towards nation building.
This will be followed by panel discussion on the “Problems in Institutional Training and suggested remedial measures” and “Measures to make institutional training more realistic in tune with the present environment”. For this inaugural brain storming session all the Principals/ Heads of Institutions of all leading institutions of Meghalaya state affiliated with NCC have been invited.
The Education Minister of Meghalaya Mr Lahkmen Rymbui is the Chief Guest for the inaugural session. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor NEHU Prof SK Srivastava and Additional Director General of NCC, Maj General Bipin Bakshi, VSM will also be in attendance.
