The BJP asked Meghalaya Chief Minsiter to be vigilance in illegal migration from Assam

Shillong, July 31: The President of the BJYM of the BJP Meghalaya State Unit Mr Egenstar Kurkalang ha written to the Chief Minister of Meghalaya Mr Conrad K Sangma that the state government should be vigilance on the illegal migration from Assam after the publication of the draft NRC.

The BJYM President said that as per the NRC draft is 40 lak people are not genuine of Assam and many of them they are Bangladeshi who hail from Bangladesh. Thus this people might enter and take shelter into Meghalaya.

The BJP said that they are concern in safeguarding the indigenous people of Meghalaya and the general citizens of the state. They urged the Government to look into the mater seriously and to adopt proper mechanism and safety measure in an attempt to check illegal immigration from Assam and from the international Border.

The BJYM have full faith in the able leadership of the Chief Minister Mr Conrad K Sangma and they hope that state government will deliver the best in tackling the issued for the interest of the state and its citizens in general, said Mr Egenstar Kurkalang in the letter sent to the Chief Minister today.
