The BSF, Meghalaya Frontier celebrated Children’s Day at BSF Primary School, Umpling

Shillong, November 14: The Border Security Force, Meghalaya Frontier celebrated Children’s Day at BSF Primary School, Umpling camp. Children’s Day is the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru celebrated as Children’s Day(Bal Divas) at Gym Hall, BSF Umpling Camp to increase awareness among people about rights and education of children. Sh Naimuddin, DIG(Mentor of the BSF Primary School), Sh.Wajid Ali, DIG(Operation) and Sh. Umesh Kumar Nayal,DIG and PRO inaugurated the programme.

The BSF school children with their teachers, parents and specially by more than 45 orphan boys William Lewis Boys Home, Mawlilong. The orphan boys share lunch with BSF Primary School students and enjoy the day. Conveying wishes to all the children and their parents, Sh. Wajid Ali,DIG(Operation) said,“ This Day may bring happiness and prosperity to all the children and their marvelous extra curriculum activities and performance like singing, dancing and games may lead them to make a good personality and also to be an asset for the nation”.He also praised BSF personnel for their zeal to celebrate every festival in BSF.

Mr Umesh Kumar Nayal, DIG and PRO also appreciated the immense spontaneous performance of students of BSF Primary School and said “To witness such a colorful marvelous programme. He just excited and gone through his own childhood days.”

It is worth mentioning the BSF School in Shillong is well known for its exemplary results in academics and in other extra curriculum activities. On the occasion of Children’s Day, they successful to increase awareness among people about rights and education of children. Children’s and their families gathered in huge numbers on this occasion. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the different games, competitions and sweets and  gifts were also distributed among children.
