The BSF nabs Jamat-e- Islami member of Bangladeshi from Baghmara in Meghalaya

Shillong, August 09:  showing alertness to prevent any infiltration on the International Border the BSF troops deployed at Baghmara, South Garo Hills in Meghalaya apprehended one Bangladeshi national on the zero line.

Having observed some suspected movement near the unfenced area on International boundary, the BSF party encircled the suspected area and apprehended one Bangladeshi  national.

The apprehended person namely Md Jaharul Islam 26 years along with him he has 11 Nos. During questioning, he reveled that he works for Jamat-e- Islami foundation in BD and wants to become Jihadi.

He works for an international forum SEBDA Children Denmark. He was not satisfied with policy of ruling Awami League Govt. Further, he revealed that he  became Jihadi due to torture by some Awami League members. He is a supporter of BNP. He confessed he knows that he will die but will kill all kafer who do not respect Islam and Holy Quran. He had entered in India to visit North East States.

[In another incident, on 8th Aug’2018 BSF troops deployed at Lukaichar, South West Garo Hills Meghalay apprehended one Indian national on the zero line. Having observed some suspected movement near the fenced area on International boundary, the BSF party challenged and apprehended one Indian national namely Noor Alam. He had been introduced in cattle smuggling as cattle carrier and was returning from Bangladesh.

BSF has stepped up its special drive against the illegal intruders and has intensified its operations on the Indo-Bangladesh Border to prevent nefarious design of trans-border criminals to maintain tranquility in bordering areas of Meghalaya state.

The BSF during other operations has seized 226 Nos cattle, and contraband items worth more than Rs. 43 Lacs, while being smuggled out from India to Bangladesh on the International Border along Meghalaya since last eight days from the areas of Tuka, Nayabazar, Lyngkhat, Umsiyam, Ryngkua, O P Shella Distt East Khasi Hills, Muktapur, West Jaintia Hills and  Baburambill West Garo Hills of Meghalaya.
