The BSF organised series of civic action programme at border villages in meghalaya

Shillong, Feb 02: Border Security Force, under Meghalaya Frontier once again organized a series of Civic Action Programme (CAP) on 02nd Feb 2019 at various places in bordering Villages of Meghalaya.

A free medical camp and eye screening for the visually impairment and cataract under Civic Action Programme, was organized by 123 Bn BSF at Border Out Post  Shella .

The event was inaugurated by Dr. AC Bharadajan DIG (Med), MS, Composite Hospital shillong in the presence of Commandant 123 Bn  Sh. Rajashekar K N. Other distinguished doctors like Dr Narender Satish, 2IC/ Dentist CH Shillong, Dr. Arun MO 123 Bn, Dr. Brando Khongsit, eye specialist, CH Shillong were also present in the medical camp and attended 111 patients coming from  different village of  Shella, Daliya, Omkhawa, Adharghat, Kalatek, Jatap, Sakirap, Kalibari and Ichamati. After treatment and giving medical aid, spectacles were also distributed to the needy patients.  Dr Narendra Satish, 2IC/ Dentist also attended 29 Patients and gave them free medicines at the Medical Camp.

Another Civic Action Programme was also conducted near BSF Border Out Post Patherghat by 123 Bn BSF on the same day. The Programme was inaugurated by Sh. Sitaramanda, RKM Sohra in the presence of Sh. Satish Kumar, Company commander of BSF BOP Beltoli. During the programme Blazer/sweater, trouser, shirt and T- shirts were distributed to more than 200 male villagers and Top, Trouser, sweater and sweat shirt for 116 female Villagers from Kalatek,  Adharghat,  Omkhawa and Umsaw.
