The BSF organized Civic action programme at Dabram in South Garo Hills

Shillong, July 23: As part of Border Management Plan,  Civic Action Programmes cum free medical camps  were organized by the BSF  at Dabram and Dambukafal, Ex -141 Bn BSF in South Garo Hills of Meghalaya.

In the series of several public outreach programmes BSF organized civic action programme in remote villages Dabram and  Dambukafal. After rigorous exercise some schools were identified by Border Security Force where school and children needed some up-liftmen.

Hence, stationary items and sports items were distributed to the needy students of these schools besides water storage tanks, water filter, dustbin and torch were also distributed to the needy villagers in the bordering area.

Free medical camps, were also organized  to provide medical cover to the needy villagers. After health checkup, almost 300 patients including men, women   and  children were given free medicines by BSF expert doctors to border dwelling people and villagers in huge number were present in these programmes.

The BSF has been keeping regular touch with the bordering people to meet its endeavor to help the poor and needy people. The BSF has been providing free medical cover to remote areas at the border where there is no Public Health Center in the past also.

A heartfelt presence of local Headmen and other respected persons of the locality made the programmes very successful. People of these villages praised the goodwill gesture by BSF done at these villages.
