Shillong, June 26: The Border Security Force of Meghalaya seized medicines, cosmetics and clothing items worth more than Rs. 20 lakhs on different locations of International Border while being smuggled to Bangladesh.
The BSF acting on reliable information, BSF troops deployed at International Border of West Jaintia Hills planned an operation and foiled the smuggling attempt by seizing medicines consisting Tab Ista20, cap Mon Q, Oint Drone TM, Oint Cesol, Syrup VB3 and many others total amount to Rupees 10 lac 90 thousand.
In other incidents, BSF troops confiscated huge quantity of cosmetics and clothing from bordering area of South West Khasi Hills and East Khasi hills. One Bangladesh national namely Feroz Ali 18 years resident of Sylhet.
The Bangladeshi national was also apprehended by BSF at Pyrdwah under Pynursla PSwhile carrying cosmetics illegally from India to Bangladesh. The BSF troops confiscated cosmetics worth Rupees more than 09 lakhs.
