Shillong February 28: The Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma said that the Cabinet today has approved the proposal for the merger of plan and non-plan in the budget, in line with the union budget passed in the last budget session. This exercise was done since 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 but today the cabinet has approve it.
The whole exercise was done in collaboration with the planning and Finance department, with the merger of plan and non plan the allocation of fund to various department will no longer show separate head account but it will all depend on the department to made fund available for development activities and for the establishedment, but there will be proper indication in such a way in the department that they will know their departmental programme.
The cabinet also has approve the Grievances redressal police relating to pension of the government servant, the government will set up three ways of seek redressal, by way of letters writing, emailing or through telephonic call. There will be two ways of solving the pension problem, the designate officer, the Chief Redressal officer will be from the fiancé department, all the District Treasury officer at the District level if at this level cannot be solve then will take to the National pension Trust.
