The Cabinet approves the adoption of UPSC paten in the MPSC for MCS examination

Shillong, March 08: The Cabinet today has adopted the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) paten  in the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) for Meghalaya Civil service Examination, all the syllabus for the exam will be like that of the Union except  in the Khasi and Garo Language.

The Chief Minister said that the entire subject will be in line with the UPSC, expect in one that is the Khasi and the Garo language, since this language where not there in the UPSC, so the Cabinet has added this two languages in the syllabus. All aspirant candidates who will appear for the MCS examination will have to prepare with the UPSC paten of examination.

The Cabinet also approves for the appointment of Mr J M Kyndiah as internal auditor in the transport department for a period one year on contractual to help in auditing in this particular office of the government. The cabinet has also approves the service rule of the Transport department in appointing officer through direct recruitment.

The Chief minister also said that in the cabinet has discussed  at length on how to mobilized additional resources , but he did not elaborate on this since it will be table in this ongoing budget session.
