Shillong, April 14: The Chief Executive Officer, Shillong Municipal Board has informed the general public that under Section 128 of the MM Act, all residents within the Shillong Municipal Area are to register their pet dogs and to obtain dog tags on payment of fees of Rs. 200/-.
All pet owners are to ensure that their dogs are not straying in public place/roads. Dogs found without tags will be treated as strays and necessary action will be taken as per Municipal Act.
