The Chief Minister assured the GSU delegation the Govt to improved the NH-62 in Garo Hills

 

Shillong, April 18: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has assured Garo Student’s Union, Southern Zone delegation, who submitted a memorandum today seeking his intervention on implementing a double lane for NH-62 and NH 62 (E) of South Garo Hills.

The Chief Minister told the delegation that Government was committed to improve the road connectivity in the State and adequate thrust will be accorded to improve road, communication and connectivity in the region.

The other request submitted by the GSU included setting up of Me.ECL Division Office at Baghmara, upgradation of Baghmara Civil Hospital, upgradation of school infrastructure and teaching staff at Baghmara Government Higher Secondary School, dilapidated condition of PWD roads, upgradation of building for various Government Departments, amongst others.
