The core potential of Meghalaya as a hotspot tourist destination with culture, music: Alexander

Shillong, oct 13: The Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management Camp-Shillong had successfully organised a valedictory cum certificate distribution programme for its outgoing Third Batch participants of the Tour Guide Training Programme for Meghalaya under Hunar Se Rozgar Tak scheme of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

The programme was graced by Shri. A.L. Hek as the Chief Guest, Shri Cyril V.D. Diengdoh as the Guest of Honour in the presence of Prof. Alok Sharma, Director IITTM, Dr. Sabir Mohammed Hussain, Nodal Officer IITTM, Bhubaneshwar, Ms. Sabrina Lyngdoh, Co-ordinator of IITTM Camp-Shillong and participants of the third batch Tour Guide Training Programme.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest, Shri A.L.Hek highlighted the core potential of Meghalaya as a hotspot tourist destination with culture, music, folklore, adventure as its unique selling point. It may be mentioned that 18 participants had successfully completed the Tour Guide Training course and received their certificates today.
