Shillong, March 23: The District Election Officer, South West Khasi Hills District, Mawkyrwat informed that a complaint monitoring Control Room and call Centre for the General Election to the Lok Sabha, 2019 for 35-Ranikor (ST) and 36 – Mawkyrwat (ST) falling under 1-Shillong Parliamentary Constituency which will be held on the 11th April, 2019 has been set up. Meanwhile, the District Election Officer, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat has also informed that the Control Room-cum-Complaint Monitoring has been setup at the Tourist Lodge, Deinchynrum, Khliehriat, Room No. 01. Any complaints and queries may be made through the Control Room.

A control number 9402531412 has also been set up in the District Election Office, South Garo Hills for the purpose of registering and monitoring the complaints regarding the election related issues.
District Media Certification and Monitoring Committee was also set in order to examine the application for election advertisements in both print and electronic media by contesting or political parties during election. Flying Squad Team, Static Surveillance Team, Video Surveillance Team etc has also been constituted in the District to check the violation of model code of conduct.
