Shillong, Nov 15:The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District in an order issued on 14th November, 2020 has informed that shops with allotted serial numbers 5,6,1 and 2 will open on 16th, 19th, 25th and 28th November, 2020, shops with allotted serial numbers 3,4,5 and 6 will open on 17th, 20th, 23rd and 26th November, 2020 and shops with allotted serial numbers 1,2, 3 and 4 will open on 18th, 21st, 24th and 27th November, 2020 in Khasi market below Jaiaw Taxi stand at Motphran.
The Incident Commander, Magistrates and Police will regulate the operation of shops and also to ensure due compliance to the advisories of Government in the Health & Family Welfare Department with special and strict reference to social distancing concerning the COVID-19 situation.
The Deputy Commissioner also requested the public to strictly maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet, not to overcrowd in one area or shop, shopkeepers and costumers shall mandatorily wear masks and non compliance will entail action of closure of the shops concerned, to refrain from spitting in public places and to cooperate with the management made by the District Administration and District Police.
