The District Traffic with the MLSA will organized a Traffic Week Awareness Programme

Shillong, Nov 09: The District’s Traffic Branch in collaboration with Meghalaya Legal Service Association and Radio Mirchi will be organizing a Traffic Week Awareness Programme from the 19th to the 23rd of Nov, 2018, whereby a Photography Competition (Among other activities) on the Topic “WHY JAM IN SHILLONG?” will be conducted.

The competition is open to all and any interested candidates above the age of 15 Years may kindly submit their original photographs taken within East Khasi Hills District only in JPEG File vide a Pen Drive, DVD or CD at the office of the SDPO Pynursla, Camp-Police Reserve Shillong directly before the 17th of Nov, 2018.

Also the District’s Traffic Branch will conduct an Essay Competition at the Vivekananda RamaKrishna Mission on the 19th of Nov, 2018 at 11.30 AM sharp. The topic of the Essay Competition will be on “Good Traffic Etiquette: A solution for reducing traffic congestion in Shillong.”

All the Hr. Sec. Schools, Colleges and other Organizations may kindly send the names of the representatives to the office of the SDPO Pynursla directly or through the ICs of any Traffic Branch in Shillong by the 16th of Nov, 2018.

The participants may contact the SDPO Pynursla at 8794730299 for any queries on both the competitions from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and may refer to the rules and regulations of the competition before submitting their photographs or before entering the Essay Competition uploaded at the East Khasi Hills Police website or in any of the Traffic Branches in Shillong.

The winners of both the competitions will be featured in the “Radio Mirchi Traffic Jockey” and will be awarded prizes and certificates.
