Shillong, July 14: Today at around 1 am midnight, a fire broke out in Baridua in Ri Bhoi District where five to six shop selling vegetable at 9th Mile, gutted witj fire.
In this incident the loss of property is estimated around Rs. 5,30,000/-, however, no loss of human life was reported. It is reported that while the crowd were extinguishing the fire, media persons of ‘Pratidin Time’ took videography of the incident for the news correspondence and in the meantime angry youth assaulted them and snatched one camera, one halogen light and one gold chain from a reporter.
As a result, Shri Trilok Singh sustained injuries and was admitted to a hospital, the camera belong to the injured person. The police is investigating the incident to ascertain the cause of the fire incident.
