Tura, July 30: The thirteen member’s delegation of the Garo Hills State Movement Committee (GHSMC) led by Mr Nikman Ch Marak and former Deputy Chief Executive Member Mr Augustine Marak will be leaving for the National Capital New Delhi to meet the Prime minister of India Mr Narendra Modi to submit the memorandum seeking for a separate Garo State.
When SP News Agency spoke to Mr Augustine Marak one of the leader in the Garo Hills State Movement Committee, he said that “Yes a delegation of thirteen members will be leaving for Delhi to meet the Prime Minister Modi to submit the memorandum to him to seek for the creation of separate Garo State’.
When asked if the date has been fixed on meeting the Prime Minister Mr Marak said that only when they reached the National Capital then they will be able to know the date when they will the delegation meet the prime minister. He confirms the delegation is leaving for New Delhi tomorrow to demand for a separate Garo State.
