The Gom sign MOA with M/S Renew Joule Private Ltd to produce 120 MW power

Joint Secretray Smti RR Marak and Director of the company Renew exchange agreement.Shillong, December 20: Today the Power Department Government of Meghalaya (GoM) had sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA)   with the company M/S Renew Joule Private Limited for the execution of three power plants with Renewable Technology Closed Loop Vertical Turbine Project of 120 MW on Build, Own and Operate (BOO) in presence of the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Dr. Mukul Sangma.

From the Power Department the Agreement was sign by Smti Rikse R Marak Joint Secretary to the government of Meghalaya and from the M/S Renew Joule Private Limited wa sign by the Director Mr Manjoj Sompura from Mumbai.

After signing the agreement, the Chief MInsiter Dr Mukul Sangma said that, “We are loking for investor to come to Meghalaya as a favorable investment destination”. The Chief Minister assured the company that the government will help them within the parameter available with the Government.

This is the new project that was design to produce power by this company using the new technology Buoyancy and Gravity. The State will benefit in power sector and this will help to increase the power production in the state and will reduce power deficit when this new technology started producing power.

The Director of the Company Mr Manjoj Sompura said that the company is planning to set up this power project in three places in Meghalaya they will start from Byrnihat in Ri Bhoi District, Mendipathar in North Garo Hills District and in Ampati of South West Garo Hills District.

This project will be second in the world, and will be the first in Asia. They will start there project in the month of January 2018 and they will complete the project and commission on the month of April 2018. The project cost for one Megawatt will be around Rs. 8.00 Cores.
