Tura, October 21: The Garo Student Union (GSU) today started their two day demonstration in the office of the District Sport Officer in Williamnagar today, demanding for the removal of the officer incahrge of the East Garo Hills District.
In the press statement issue today by the assistant general secretary of the GSU Mr Tattara N Marak said that “We G.S.U East Zone have organised two days office picketing at the District Sports Office from 20th to 21st Oct 2016 for realization of our demand to remove incumbent D.S.O of East Garo Hills District”.
In previous month we have done a series agitation in the District of East Garo Hills regarding a removal of the present DSO but no replied been made till dated from the concern department.Therefore, “we were compelled to set off again an another agitation the district and we will not stop our agitation until and unless our demands are not met.And in next steps we can go for out of our hand this time if the demand made by us is taken lightly”, said the press statement.
