Shillong, July 27: The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) one of the pressure group organization from the state of Meghalaya continued with their peaceful demonstration demanding from the state government to implement Inner Line Permit in the state of Meghalaya by holding two hours sit in demonstration near additional secretariat today.
At this sit in demonstration the members of the HYC who participate are only from the central executive Members only. The demonstration started at 3.00 pm and concluded at 5.00PM. This is the second phase of the agitation taken up by the organization to put pressure on the state government to implement ILP.
The third phase of the step the HYC has taken in their demand for the implementation of the ILP, they have call all the MLA who are supporting the Government on coming Saturday the 29th .07.2017 at the Khasi National Dorbar Hall, this invitation is to know the mind of the ruling MLAs what they have to say on ILP.
The two hours sit in demonstration was led by its president Mr Peter Lawai, the general Secretary Mr Robert K Jahrin and along with the CEC members. The sit in demonstration was under tide security, the police do not want to see that any untoward incident may happen.
